About the author

My name is Matthew G. I have lived with Crohn's disease for 17 years. I am not writing from the position of a doctor, a guru or someone selling a miracle method. I am writing from lived experience and from a long, sometimes uncomfortable attempt to understand my own body more honestly.

Why this ebook exists

Over the years there were tests, medication, diet experiments, weak periods, attempts to return to movement, breathing, meditation and a lot of attention paid to stress. At some point the question “what did you eat?” started to feel too small. Not because food does not matter. It does. But gut problems often come with tension, fear, sleep, relationships, overload and a nervous system that has been on alert for too long.

The ebook is about Crohn's disease, stress, the gut-brain axis, tension and everyday functioning. No anti-medical message. No claim that the mind causes everything. No promise of being cured.

What this is not

I am not a doctor and this ebook is not medical advice. It does not replace diagnosis, medication or consultation with a specialist. It is a personal attempt to name the layer that is often missing from gut conversations: how the body lives inside stress, habits, fear, movement, breathing and daily pressure.
